Work with your label

Look under Invitations on Home. A label’s invitation shows as one row marked Roster user, naming the artist or artists it covers. Press Accept on the right to join, or Ignore, just to its left, to turn it down. The row names the artist, not the label. If you work with more than one label, check the invitation email to see which one sent it.

• You now see the label’s row in your track list, with your own tracks.

Open the label’s row and press Create a new track inside it. A track you create there belongs to the label from the start, so they see everything you add. If you start your own track for the same song instead, you end up with two records, and the label only sees theirs.

• You now see your track inside the label’s workspace, where they can see it.
• You’ll find the label’s row in your track list under Recent. Open it to see the label’s folders and tracks.

Just work in the track. There’s no send step. Files you upload, Metadata you fill in and credits you add show up for the label in Vandall Business as you go. The Send tab publishes a public release page. You don’t need it to hand work to your label.

• You now see your work visible to the label without you sending anything.

When the label creates a split sheet, it appears on the track’s Agreements tab. Open it and press Sign Agreement. If your accreditation numbers are in Settings, they’re filled in for you. If you see Not defined, press Edit in profile to add them; you come back to the agreement afterwards.

• You now see the agreement signed, with your numbers on it.

Creating the workspace, adding artists to a roster, inviting people and setting folder permissions all happen in Vandall Business. The App has no screens for these. If you need one of them done, ask your label. You haven’t missed a setting.

• You now see which jobs are yours and which are your label’s.
