Creating and Signing Split Sheets

Walk through the 4-step agreement wizard: song info, add people, define terms, and send for signatures.

Vandall App agreements tab showing split sheet entry points and signing status
Creators start and sign split sheets from the App. Business teams can track the same agreement from the workspace side.

In short

  • Metadata, credits, percentages, signatures, and the PDF need to agree before release.
  • Creators use the App to start or sign; teams use Business to monitor the same agreement.
  • Check collaborator names and percentages before sending because fixing them later usually means restarting.

  1. 1

    Open the Agreement tab

In your project, tap "Agreement." Select Split Sheet to start the 4-step wizard.

  2. 2

    Step 1 — Song Info

Enter an agreement name (defaults from your project). Pre-filled details from your metadata appear: artist name, song name, genre, ISRC. Tap "Continue" when everything looks right.

The team workspace shows the same song identity before the agreement is sent.

    Step 2 — Add People

Add participants by searching for Vandall users by name or email. You can also add participants by name only without an email — useful for contributors who don't have a Vandall account. Assign credit roles to each participant.

Use this step to choose participants and verify the total before continuing.
  4. 4

    Step 3 — Define Terms

Set each participant's ownership percentage. The total must add up to 100%. This is the financial split that determines royalty distribution.

Split sheet percentage step with participant split total
The split total is the clarity check: it should equal 100% before sending.
  5. 5

    Send for signing

Review the summary and confirm. All participants receive a notification to review and sign. The agreement status moves from Draft to Pending.

    Sign and track progress

When signing, your IPI/IPN numbers from your profile are pre-filled. The Agreement tab shows signing progress (e.g. "2/3 signed"). Once everyone signs, a PDF is generated. You can save the PDF at any time — even before all signatures are collected.

Tips

  • Create split sheets at creation time, not after a dispute starts.
  • Name-only participants are listed on the agreement but need signatures collected separately.
