Organise tracks in folders

By the end you’ll have folders for your work, tracks filed into them, and know where to open, rename or move them later.

A folder: its tracks and subfolders, with a breadcrumb back to your workspace.

Before you start

  • A workspace with tracks in the Catalog.
  1. 1

    Create a folder

On Home, scroll to Recents and click New folder. Type a Folder name and click Create folder. To make a folder inside another one, open that folder and click New folder there.

    • You now see the new folder under Recents.
  2. 2

    Move tracks into it

In the Catalog, click ⋮ beside Create Track, choose Select rows and tick the tracks. Click Move to folder in the bar at the bottom, pick the folder and click Move here.

    • You now see a message that the tracks moved. The Catalog still lists them, because it shows every track wherever it is filed.
  3. 3

    Open a folder

On Home, click the folder under Recents. Inside it you can drag a track onto a subfolder, or onto a folder in the breadcrumb at the top, to move it there.

    • You now see the folder’s tracks and subfolders, with a breadcrumb back to your workspace.
  4. 4

    Rename, move or delete it

On Home, click ⋮ at the end of the folder’s row under Recents and choose Rename, Move or Delete.

    • You now see the dialog for what you chose.

Tips

  • An artist’s roster folder isn’t listed in Recents. Open it from the Catalog: point at their portrait in the roster rail and click the ↗ arrow at its top right.
