Turn folders into roster members
By the end an artist folder you already had will belong to that artist on your roster, with every track still inside it. Nothing needs to be moved.
Before you start
- A top-level folder named after the artist, with their tracks in it.
- Owner or admin access. Only they see the roster Add tile.

Find the artist’s folder
On Home, look under Recents for a folder named after an artist, such as The Vandalls. That folder can become the artist’s roster folder.
- You now see the folder you want to keep.
- Only top-level folders are matched. A folder inside another folder is not offered.

Add a member with that name
Click Add roster member on Home and type the folder’s name in Name. Capitals don’t matter. Vandall spots the matching folder and offers to use it.
- You now see a notice offering the existing folder.
- No notice appears when two top-level folders share the name. Rename one so the match is clear.

Use the existing folder
Click Use this folder, then Add roster member. The folder is renamed to the artist’s name exactly as you typed it. If you’d rather start fresh, click Create a separate one to give the artist a new, empty folder.
- You now see the artist in the roster rail.
- Changed your mind before saving? Click Undo.

Open the artist
Open Catalog, point at the artist’s portrait in the roster rail and click the ↗ arrow at its top right. Check that every track is still in their folder.
- You now see your existing folder, now the artist’s, with every track still in it.
