1. What is a Release Package?
- A release package in Vandall is a centralized collection of all the files, metadata, and credits needed for a professional music release.
- It allows you to easily share your finalized project with labels, distributors, and collaborators.
- You can publish a draft online for easy access.
2. Accessing the Release Package
- From your project, click on the top bar to enter the Release Details section.
- This area lets you organize and prepare your release for sharing.
3. Publishing Your Release
- By default, nothing is available to non-project members unless shared manually.
- To make your project publicly accessible, publish your draft onto the web.
- Once published, you’ll see a “Copy Link” option.
4. What’s Included in the Release Package?
- Project Description – A summary of the project.
- Genre & Metadata – All relevant song details.
- Credits – Easily copy contributor information.
- Files – A list of included assets (audio, artwork, documents).
- Downloadable Zip File – Recipients can download a packaged zip with all files.
5. Updating a Release Package
- If you make changes (e.g., update metadata, rename a file), they won’t automatically appear in the published link.
- To apply updates, you must:
- Modify the metadata or file assets.
- Click “Publish Updates to Project.”
- Changes will be reflected immediately without needing a page refresh.
6. Future Features Coming Soon
- Agreements & Legal Documentation will soon be integrated into the release package.
- More flexible file inclusion options to add multiple audio files and non-audio assets.
